Preparations are underway for the prestigious 13th Nigeria Aviation Awards, where the 2023 King and Queen of the Air will be crowned, courtesy of Santos Aviation sponsorship.
With a prize of N1 million, Santos Aviation, a US-based aircraft interior refurbishing outfit, sponsors the coveted titles.
This contest aims to select Nigerian aviation ambassadors from the air hosts and hostesses representing various airlines.
Mr. Fortune Idu, the organizer and coordinator of NIGAV, highlighted in a press statement the objective of enhancing in-flight passenger experiences.
Furthermore, the contest seeks to acknowledge the exceptional services provided by cabin crews in air transport.
Winners of the competition will not only receive a cash prize of N1 million but also become Nigerian air ambassadors for corporate social responsibility initiatives.
The Acting Director General of NCAA, a previous NIGAV recipient, is expected to crown the King and Queen of the Air during the event.
Additionally, the winners will undertake a CSR program, including a charity donation to SOS Children’s Village and aviation safety awareness campaigns.
Over the years, this event has become synonymous with excellence in the aviation sector, fostering healthy competition and rewarding outstanding performances.
