Speaking at the inaugural November 2 flight between Abuja and Lagos, Keyamo celebrated XEJet’s commitment to innovation and quality service. The all-business-class CRJ200 flight marked XEJet’s official launch, beginning with a ceremony in Abuja and ending in Lagos. A celebratory event welcomed passengers upon landing, highlighting the airline’s commitment to providing a premium experience.

Representing the Minister, Director of Airworthiness Hassan Ejibunu emphasized that XEJet’s entry elevates service standards, comfort, and safety for Nigerian passengers. “Today’s flight is more than just a new airline launch; it reflects Nigerian aviation’s resilience and promising potential,” Ejibunu said. Furthermore, he said each new route expands connectivity and spurs tourism and business growth across Nigeria, strengthening Nigeria’s air network.

XEJet’s Chief Executive Officer, Emmanuel Iza, also announced the delivery of an Embraer E190, currently undergoing inspection. Scheduled to begin operations on November 7, this addition will support XEJet’s premium offerings. Moreover, Iza expressed strong confidence in the safety, comfort, and luxury XEJet brings to Nigerian aviation.

Iza emphasized, “At XEJet, we focus not only on seat size but also on the overall experience. Our CRJ’s 22-inch seats and Embraer’s 16-18 inch options ensure premium comfort and safety.” He emphasized XEJet’s dedication to delivering high standards that redefine air travel in Nigeria.

Moreover, on XEJet’s growth, Iza explained, “I’m a numbers person, and I value project-driven results. “My shareholders and I are always guided by market demand, rather than politics,” he emphasized regarding his flexible route expansion approach. “For example, if I notice numbers in Maiduguri or Benin, we’ll respond accordingly. Ultimately, it’s about meeting passenger needs.”

Additionally, Chief Operating Officer Sukh Mann commended the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority for its essential role in XEJet’s certification. He acknowledged that collaborative support from regulators enables XEJet to maintain safety and operational standards, positioning it as a reliable choice for Nigerian travelers.
