Embarking on a transformative journey, Wakanow.com Nigeria’s CEO, Adenike Macaulay, unveiled the Wakacares CSR program, focusing on empowering aspiring entrepreneurs and promoting gender equality.

During the second phase of the Skill Up initiative, Macaulay emphasized the company’s commitment to addressing crucial SDG Goals. She stated, “Empowering women and fostering economic growth are pivotal to societal development.”

Wakanow.com Nigeria launched the Wakacares CSR program in May, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This evidently marked a significant step forward in the company’s dedication to societal impact.

Shola Ipinmoroti, Vice President, Commercial at Wakanow.com Nigeria, highlighted the life-changing potential of the WIMBIZ Women’s Training. She said, “Empowering women transforms entire families and society by extension.”

The event, attended by participants both in person and virtually, saw trainees expressing gratitude for the insightful and informative training. Winners of tablet devices shared their excitement and readiness to venture into the travel industry.

Similarly, Oluwatoyin Kayode, a trainee, said, “This event came at the right time, giving me the knowledge and a launching pad for the business.”

Wakanow.com Nigeria’s first phase of Wakacares, Skill Up Imo, collaborated with the Imo State Ministry of Digital Economy and E-Government. The initiative empowered 250 aspiring entrepreneurs with specialized training, creating opportunities for self-employment and entrepreneurship.
