Air Peace has announced a major boost to its regional network with the launch of scheduled services from Lagos to Douala in Cameroon, Libreville in Gabon, Bamako in Mali, and Conakry in Guinea. The new flights will commence on 1 August 2026, marking another significant step in the airline’s African expansion strategy.

The development underscores Air Peace’s commitment to strengthening connectivity across the continent. In addition, the new services are expected to support trade, tourism, investment, cultural exchange, and economic integration among African countries.

Regional Network Expansion Strengthens African Connectivity

The expanded regional network will operate through two multi-city flight corridors linking West and Central Africa. Air Peace will serve Douala and Libreville on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flights will depart Lagos in the morning, connect through Douala to Libreville, and return to Lagos via the same route later in the day.

Meanwhile, services to Bamako and Conakry will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The schedule will connect Lagos with Bamako before continuing to Conakry. Return flights will operate through Bamako before arriving back in Lagos, providing passengers with convenient travel options across the region.

The four new destinations represent an important milestone in Air Peace’s ambition to build a stronger regional network across Africa. By adding these routes, the airline is expanding travel opportunities for business travellers, tourists, investors, and families while supporting closer economic ties between participating countries.

A key benefit of the new services is the enhanced role of Lagos as a regional aviation hub. Through the airline’s Lagos base, passengers travelling from Douala, Libreville, Bamako, and Conakry will gain access to numerous destinations within Nigeria. These include Abuja, Port Harcourt, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Kano, Asaba, Gombe, Ibadan, Yola, Maiduguri, and several other cities.

The strengthened regional network will also provide easier access to Air Peace’s growing international operations. Travellers from the new African destinations will be able to connect seamlessly to London Gatwick in the United Kingdom as well as Caribbean destinations such as Antigua and Barbados. Therefore, the expansion creates additional opportunities for education, commerce, tourism, and international business.

Commenting on the development, Air Peace Management said:

“The launch of these new regional services underscores our commitment to connecting Africa through safe, reliable, and affordable air transportation.”

Management added that the airline’s expansion goes beyond simply adding destinations.

“By expanding our footprint across West and Central Africa, we are not only providing more travel options for our customers but also facilitating commerce, tourism, investment, and regional integration.”

The airline further highlighted the strategic importance of Lagos within its network development plans.

“Lagos continues to evolve as a key hub in our network strategy, enabling seamless connections between Africa and international destinations.”

Air Peace noted that the latest regional network expansion aligns with broader continental aviation objectives. Specifically, the new routes support the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM), both of which seek to improve connectivity and reduce barriers to movement across Africa.

Meanwhile, the carrier believes improved air links will encourage stronger business relationships and greater economic activity among countries in West and Central Africa. Enhanced connectivity is also expected to stimulate tourism flows and create new opportunities for regional collaboration.

Bookings for the new services are now open through Air Peace’s website, mobile application, contact centre, and accredited travel agencies worldwide. The airline is encouraging corporate organisations, travel agencies, and individual passengers to take advantage of the new routes, competitive fares, generous baggage allowances, and seamless connections available across its expanding network.

As Africa’s fastest-growing network carrier, Air Peace continues to strengthen its regional network while positioning Nigeria as a leading aviation gateway. With four new African destinations joining its route map, the airline is further advancing its vision of connecting Africa to itself and to the wider world.
