Minister of Aviation, Mr. Festus Keyamo, will lead discussions at the 28th Annual Conference of the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC), focusing on addressing current aviation sector constraints. The event will take place on July 26th at Providence Hotel, Ikeja GRA.

A statement confirming his participation noted the LAAC conference as a prime platform for dialogue in Nigeria’s aviation sector. Moreover, this forum will allow Minister Keyamo to gather valuable stakeholder input and resources to rejuvenate the aviation industry. Mr. Keyamo stressed stakeholder contributions, noting their vital role in repositioning the aviation sector globally.

This year’s conference theme, “Aviation Survivability Amidst a Challenging Macro-economic Environment,” highlights the ministry’s commitment to overcoming sector challenges. Also, Minister Keyamo believes the discussions and solutions from this conference will simplify his role in the aviation industry.

Chinedu Eze and Albinus Chiedu, Chairman and Secretary of the organizing committee, respectively, announced that Dr. Thomas Ogungbangbe, CEO of CITIGroup, will chair the event. Captain Hamisu Yadudu, former Managing Director of FAAN, will moderate the sessions.

Accordingly, the keynote speech will be delivered by Engr. Umar Farouk, Managing Director of Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA). Likewise, panel members include Capt. Chris Najomo, Acting Director General of NCAA; Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, Managing Director/CEO of FAAN; and Dr. Wale Babalakin, Chairman of Bicourtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL).
