He said,” NIGAV moves to a new level following the final signing of the long awaited land lease to F.C.I International limited by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, it is my pleasure to inform you that the next NIGAV event will definitely be held in our own property.
“With a permanent site, the above set objectives will be fully accomplished as we are able to operate full year development promoting activities involving every aspect of Nigerian trade and using aviation as the instrument to deliver international trade promotion and facilitation.
“This initiative will inspire further creativity; open market opportunities to showcase Nigerian produce and bring other events and conference closer to the Nigeria’s number one commercial gateway Murtala Muhammed International Airport,” he said.
According to him, the NIGAV brand is now a veritable tool for marketing Nigerian aviation stating that once established, the NIGAV Centre will host events at the Expo centre and attract international investment community to our air transport corridors
“NIGAV brand has become undisputable marketing instrument for Nigeria airports and Nigeria aviation and with the NIGAV Centre you all are welcome to join in the effort and host your event at the Expo centre and attract international investment community to our air transport corridors. Every genuine Africa event held in Nigeria brings an extra foreign exchange and every international event held here brings a prospective investor. That is the intention of NIGAV.
Idu also highlighted some drawbacks stating that sponsorship and funds were chief among them .
“However, we have had challenges in following through this initiative because of lack of sponsors but we believe that with the emergence of the centre this will become one of our signature events we ask that you watch out.
