LEADSTREAM Aviation Training Organisation has trained fifteen Nigerians on the Challenger 601/604/605 to boost the capacity of Nigeria engineers in order to develop local capacity for the industry.

The executive officer, Leadstream Aviation Training Organisation, Engr Roland Ahmed told journalists in his office at the airport that the training involving engineers on the Challenger aircraft was to reduce foreign dependency, conserve forex and grow the domestic market.

Two engineers from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and one from the Accident Investigation Bureau were among those trained on the Challenger aircraft.

Leadstream ATO was approved by the NCAA to further address the shortage of manpower through training of aviation stakeholders in the country.

Ahmed said the ATO was gradually penetrating into domestic airlines by training their technical staff locally thereby saving huge amount of money adding that 25 air safety investigators were recently trained on the B737 classic aircraft.
