DIRECTOR of Finance and Accounts, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria ( FAAN), Mrs. Adenike Aboderin has called on banks, insurance companies and contractors to look at areas where they can partner the agency due to its many investment opportunities.
This is just as she noted that there is great opportunity for risk asset creation for banks and job creation for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) abound with the agency’s continued investment towards the upgrade of infrastructure, especially its old terminal buildings.
She made these known yesterday at the Radisson Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos where FAAN had a collaborative meeting with contractors, insurance companies and commercial banks to strengthen access to funding for them enhance opportunities.
Mrs. Aboderin who was giving the vote of thanks at the event, said FAAN is growing and that the collaborative effort between contractors, insurance companies and commercial banks will be of tremendous benefits to all parties involved, especially with all the advancements and improvement the agency still has at hand.
Aboderin said, “We would like to thank you once again for meeting with us, as we look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship and more opportunities for collaboration.
“Let me quickly reiterate that this collaborative effort between contractors, insurance companies and commercial banks will be of tremendous benefits to all parties involved.
“For us as an institution we would continue to Invest towards the upgrade of our infrastructure, most importantly our old terminal buildings. This presents a great opportunity for risk asset creation for the Banks and job creation for our SMEs,” she said.
On her call for partnership she stated, “I will enjoin you to please avail yourself a copy of the investment brochure of the Authority, wherein a number of investment opportunities are highlighted. I strongly encourage us to read through and partner with us in achieving our set goals.”
“To our contractors, we thank you for your partnership as we look forward to working with you all to upgrade our facilities in the coming years.”
To the Banks, Mrs. Abodorim said that the airport authority is looking forward to working with them in areas of POS , ATM deployment and other value added innovations across all its airport locations.
Notable financial institutions at the collaborative forum were First Bank, Union Bank, Zenith Bank, First City Monument Bank ( FCMB), Access Bank, Polaris Bank, Keystone Bank, Stanbic IBTC.
