THE Domestic Airport Cargo Agents Association (DACAA), cargo agents operating at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Two (MMA2), Lagos have lauded the management of the terminal for installing state-of-the-art screening machine as well as provide improved security.
DACAA said that the installation of the screening machine had further enhanced security of goods and cargo at the shed.
Chairman, DACAA Mr. Monday Subair, in an interview with aviation journalists over the weekend in Lagos, said that the recently installed equipment had also helped to facilitate movement of cargo within the terminal, stressing that the equipment at the cargo shed could compete favourably with any other facility anywhere around the world.
He said: “At the moment, security at the cargo shed of MMA2 has significantly improved and we have a good working relationship with the various security agencies there. They (security agencies) don’t allow the goods to go through the screening machines alone, they also complement it with physical check of cargo.
“This goes to tell you that they are professionals in the line of duties. So, they are cooperating and working well with us. The screening machine that the management of the Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), operators of the cargo shed have there is a state-of-the-art facility that can be comparable with others used at various international airports across the world.â€
Subair, also lauded the various security agencies within the cargo shed hailing their professionalism  in the discharge of their duties, stressing that members of DACAA had a good working relationship with all and sundry.
