CSR: Ikoyi Passport office gets information centre, 30kva inverter from Heirs Holding, Total Energy

Comptroller General Nigeria Immigration Service Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju has commissioned a new information centre and 30KVA inverter for the Ikoyi Passport office.

The projects were part of Corporate Social Responsibility Projects donated by Heirs Holding and Total Energy Limited.

The CG  applauded the donors for their selflessness in service to the nation, commending them for meeting the specific power needs of the NIS.

She described the projects as apt and timely as uninterrupted power and information dissemination are key to their activities.

“We will continue to call on Nigerians and corporate organisations to support the Nigeria Immigration Service with operational tools and facilities.  The solar power project at our Ikoyi Passport Office will enhance our seamless service for quality delivery and encourage our personnel to work in a conducive environment. This noble project will be well utilized.” She said.

Executive director Heirs Holding, Dr. Awele Elumelu  who spoke earlier said the coming to life of the project is also a way of helping the Service improve.

She explained that it was also a demonstration of Heirs Holdings commitment towards greener and sustainable energy.

 Dr. Elumelu said, “ We know power has been a problem with the Nigeria Immigration Service, particularly Passport offices. 

“This intervention for NIS will improve the time for issuance of passports. As a company, we will continue to seek ways to improve customer service. Such sustainability will light the path to the development of a green and prosperous Nigeria.”

Mr. Emmanuel Nnorum, Group CEO Heirs Holding saud, “ we are here to improve lives and this falls into that category. Heirs Holdings decided to sponsor the power sim. We have 56 panels, for the 30 KVA inverter which has 18 Batteries.”

“ The Minister of Interior talks of how to speed up passport issuance and I am sure this project is key to that. We will continue to help as much as we can.” He said. 

She said the project will go a long way in providing seamless services for clients and a conducive environment for work.
