The Board of Ibom Air has announced two new executive appointments as the airline prepares for its next phase of growth. The appointments cover finance, legal and corporate affairs, strengthening the company’s executive leadership. The announcement was contained in a statement issued by Aniekan Essienette, Group Manager, Marketing and Communication.

The new appointees are Mr Mfon Udomah, Executive Director, Finance, and Dr Eno Udoma-Eniang, Executive Director, Legal and Corporate Affairs. Both executives will resume duties immediately, while the Board will ratify their appointments at the Annual General Meeting in November 2026.

Board Appointments Bring Financial and Legal Expertise

Mr Udomah brings more than three decades of experience across the private and public sectors. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. His appointment is expected to strengthen financial leadership as Ibom Air pursues its next phase of corporate growth.

Meanwhile, Dr Udoma-Eniang joins the airline with more than 30 years of corporate experience. Her professional background spans telecommunications, fast-moving consumer goods, financial services and emerging technology sectors. As a legal practitioner, she will oversee legal and corporate affairs.

These board appointments introduce experienced professionals into two important executive positions. However, the Board must still ratify their appointments at the November 2026 AGM, as stated in the announcement.

Ibom Air Announces Uko Udom’s Retirement

The Board also announced the retirement of Akwa Ibom State Attorney General, Uko Udom, SAN, from its membership. He leaves the Board after five years of service, bringing an end to a tenure supported by more than four decades of legal experience.

Mr Udom is a legal practitioner with extensive experience in aviation law. The Board acknowledged his contributions during his five-year tenure and wished him well in his future endeavours.

Mr Udomah’s financial background and Dr Udoma-Eniang’s broad corporate experience bring different areas of expertise to the airline’s leadership. Their board appointments and immediate resumption also means they can begin their executive responsibilities before the Board’s planned ratification in November.
