Starting on October 17, 2024, Arik Air will resume flights from Lagos to Asaba, the capital of Delta State. This development is part of the airline’s strategic expansion. Meanwhile, on October 4, Arik Air reintroduced flights connecting Abuja to Benin, followed by Abuja to Port Harcourt on October 10, 2024. Arik Air resumes key routes.
The Lagos-Asaba service will operate from the Murtala Muhammed Airport Domestic Terminal 1 in Ikeja, Lagos. These flights will run four times weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Additionally, the daily Abuja to Port Harcourt flights, as well as thrice-weekly Abuja to Benin flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, will improve connectivity for passengers.
Arik Air has further increased frequencies on the Lagos-Benin and Lagos-Warri routes, offering daily services to cater to rising demand. This expansion, aimed at enhancing accessibility across these regions, is critical to reconnecting key routes suspended earlier for operational reasons. As a result, Arik Air strengthens its position in the domestic market.
Speaking about the relaunch, Arik Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Captain Roy Ilegbodu, expressed satisfaction with the resumption. He stated, “We are happy to extend our services once again to the good people of Asaba and environs who have been yearning for our services.” Captain Ilegbodu further assured, “We promise customers on all routes our commitment to uphold the high operational standards that Arik Air is known for.”
Arik Air, Nigeria’s leading airline, continues to enhance domestic travel options as it marks its 18th anniversary on October 30, 2024. As Arik Air resumes key routes, the airline remains dedicated to expanding its services.
