Air Peace exuded dominance at the 2026 Nigerian Aviation Awards night in Lagos, bagging seven awards in a record-breaking performance.
The airline delivered a historic performance at the 15th Nigerian Aviation Awards, therefore securing an unprecedented clean sweep. These seven awards feats reinforces its leadership in safety, innovation, and service excellence across West and Central Africa.
Held at the NIGAV Conference Centre in Ikeja, the ceremony attracted top aviation stakeholders. Representatives from the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority attended. Meanwhile, industry leaders gathered to witness the seven awards milestone that further elevates the airline’s profile.

Seven Awards Across Categories
Air Peace’s seven awards cuts across key performance categories. Chairman/CEO, Dr Allen Onyema, earned Airline Executive Chief of the Year. In addition, the airline won Nigerian Commercial Airline of the Year and Best West Africa Sub-Regional Airline. It also secured Best Air Travel Mobile App, Best In-flight Magazine (Alice Magazine), Best Airport Lounge, and Pilot of the Year awarded to Captain Callistus Ifeanyi.
Notably, three of the seven awards were retained for a second consecutive year. These include the leadership honour for Dr Allen Onyema, the Alice Magazine recognition, and the regional airline title. Therefore, this consistency underscores sustained excellence and strategic growth within the airline’s operations.
Speaking after the ceremony, Air Peace spokesperson, Mr Efe Osifo-Whiskey, described the seven awards recognition as both humbling and motivating. He stated, “These seven awards reflect our commitment to raising standards and enhancing passenger experience.” He added that the achievement stems from strong leadership vision and the dedication of staff across all operational levels.
The Nigerian Aviation Awards remains a leading platform for recognising aviation excellence. It celebrates achievements in safety, innovation, and service delivery. Organisations such as the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and global bodies like International Air Transport Association continue to shape standards that airlines strive to meet.
Beyond the seven awards, Air Peace continues expanding its domestic and international network. The airline is investing in modern fleet acquisition and digital solutions. Meanwhile, enhancements to customer engagement platforms and loyalty programmes position the airline for stronger global competitiveness.
However, the significance of the seven awards extends beyond recognition. It signals Air Peace’s readiness to compete at higher international standards. Therefore, this achievement consolidates its dominance in Nigeria’s aviation landscape while strengthening its global ambition.
