The third edition of The Expatriates Business Awards (TEBA) will bring together foreign businesses, diplomatic missions and international organisations to recognise their contributions to Nigeria’s economy. The event is designed to encourage stronger investment partnerships, reward excellence and deepen economic diplomacy at a time when Nigeria is seeking greater foreign direct investment and international collaboration.
The awards have become a platform for celebrating organisations and individuals whose investments continue to create jobs, introduce new technologies and support sustainable economic growth. In addition, the organisers believe recognising these contributions sends a positive message that Nigeria values long-term international partnerships and remains open for business.
TEBA strengthens economic diplomacy and foreign investment
According to the organisers, TEBA has grown into Nigeria’s foremost platform dedicated to acknowledging expatriate investors, foreign missions, international organisations and migrant communities that continue to support national development. Beyond the awards, the event aims to strengthen bilateral and multilateral relationships while encouraging more foreign participation in Nigeria’s investment landscape.
Director of Awards, Odunola Abayomi, said the initiative has become an important bridge between Nigeria and the international business community.

Abayomi further noted that TEBA continues to promote economic diplomacy while celebrating excellence across the international business community. Therefore, the awards have become an avenue for encouraging stronger partnerships between government institutions, foreign investors and private sector stakeholders.
As a trademarked initiative, TEBA has distinguished itself as Nigeria’s leading recognition platform for expatriate businesses operating in the country. Meanwhile, this year’s ceremony will feature award presentations, cultural exhibitions, business networking opportunities and entertainment that reflect Nigeria’s diversity and its enduring relationships with the global community.

The third edition of TEBA is scheduled to hold on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the Rotunda Hall of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja. The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, will serve as Chief Host, while the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, will be Host. Also expected are the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dunoma Umar Ahmed, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mahmud Adam Kambari, diplomats, senior government officials, captains of industry and members of the international business community.
