The Chartered Institute of Human Resources and Strategic Management (CIHRSM) has conferred its prestigious Doctoral Fellowship on the Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Dr. Abdullahi Musa.
A statement signed by Assistant General Manager, Public Affairs, Stephen Onabe, announced the recognition. The statement identified the fellowship as a significant professional honour for the NAMA Director.
The honour was presented during an induction ceremony held recently in Lagos. According to the Institute’s Registrar, Dr. Minna Abell, Musa’s contributions to public service, human capital development, strategic management and nation-building influenced the decision to recognise him. She described the fellowship as the Institute’s highest membership cadre.

Abell also highlighted Dr. Musa’s academic and administrative background. He noted his experience across governance, leadership, public administration and strategic management. According to him, these experiences have supported his responsibilities as NAMA’s spokesperson and strengthened his approach to institutional communication.
“In his current role, Musa has applied the depth of his academic research and scholarly experience to the strategic management of critical information, ensuring that information dissemination within the agency is strategic, effective, educative and proactive,” Abell said.
She added that this approach had strengthened communication around NAMA’s mandate, activities and interventions. The impact, he said, extended to stakeholders and the flying Nigerian public.
The recognition places emphasis on the connection between strategic communication, public administration and human resource development. Meanwhile, CIHRSM is a professional institution focused on advancing human resource development and strategic management.
Its activities include professional education, research, training and knowledge sharing. In addition, the Institute promotes ethical leadership, professionalism, integrity and excellence within professional practice.
