NTTSE 2026 highlights Air Peace’s regional expansion vision
West and Central Africa’s largest airline, Air Peace, has received two prestigious awards at the NTTSE 2026, reinforcing its leadership in African aviation ahead of a landmark regional expansion. The airline and its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Allen Onyema (CON), were honoured for advancing aviation growth, regional connectivity and continental integration. The recognition comes just days before Air Peace launches new services from Lagos to Bamako, Conakry, Douala and Libreville.
The awards were presented during the Gala Night of the 9th National Tourism Transportation Summit & Expo held at the Banquet Hall of NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja. The event brought together aviation, tourism and transportation stakeholders to celebrate organisations and individuals driving innovation and economic development across Nigeria and Africa. The honours placed Air Peace among the summit’s biggest winners.
Air Peace received the Nigeria’s Largest Airline & Regional Expansion Leadership Award in recognition of its sustained investment in expanding connectivity across Africa. Meanwhile, Dr Onyema was presented with the Aviation Leadership & Continental Connectivity Award for his commitment to strengthening regional aviation links and promoting trade through improved air transport. Together, the awards recognise the airline’s strategic impact beyond Nigeria’s borders.
The recognition reflects Air Peace’s growing influence in bridging connectivity gaps across the continent. In addition, its expanding route network supports the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area by opening new economic opportunities.

Meanwhile, Air Peace prepares to commence flights linking Lagos with Bamako, Conakry, Douala and Libreville. These new destinations will significantly strengthen the airline’s regional footprint while providing passengers with greater travel options.
