Comptroller Musa Shehu Ya’u has now officially taken command as Comptroller of Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) Command, Nigeria Immigration Service. The transition occurred as he succeeded Comptroller Odide Essien Kalu, who retired after an impressive 35-year tenure in dedicated service. This leadership change at MMIA took place on October 22, 2024, marking a new era for the MMIA Command. Ya’u brings extensive expertise from Niger State Command, where he held various appointments throughout Nigeria, including roles at Service Headquarters (SHQ) Abuja.

In addition, he met with Heads of Units and Command Officers, discussing plans and initiatives for the department’s future. Transitioning smoothly, Comptroller Ya’u then visited Zone A HQ to officially report to Zonal Coordinator ACG M.E. Onilede before assuming his duties.
With his wealth of experience, Ya’u’s appointment is poised to bring a fresh perspective to the Command as part of leadership change at MMIA.
