Comptroller Sabo Urges Promoted Officers to Uphold Strong Work Ethics

Comptroller Immigration SM Sabo emphasized that the promotion of 116 officers at the Lagos Command is a call to strong work ethics and service. He stated that with their elevation comes the responsibility to demonstrate strong work ethics and discipline in the discharge of duties.

During his speech, CIS Sabo decorated the newly promoted officers, noting that their new roles come with increased expectations. He urged them to tackle challenges head-on, with a focus on strong work ethics in their professional conduct.

The Nigeria Immigration Service promoted four DCIs to Comptroller of Immigration. They also advanced 33 Assistant Comptrollers to Deputy Comptrollers. In addition, seven Chief Superintendents took on new roles as Assistant Comptrollers, while 11 Superintendents were elevated to Chief Superintendents. Moreover, they promoted 12 Deputy Superintendents to Superintendents of Immigration.

In addition to praising the promotions, Sabo expressed gratitude to Dr. Olubunmi Ojo, Ja’afaru Ahmed, and Kemi Napdap for leadership. He stressed that their efforts have guided the Service toward success.

Speaking to the officers, Sabo said, “I urge all promoted officers to seize this moment to rise to the occasion. This is truly a call to diligence and strong work ethics, with increased responsibilities that demand your utmost dedication and discipline.”

He charged,” I want you all to become better ambassadors of the service and eschew all forms of corrupt practices because they are inimical to your growth as officers and to the service at large. Once again, on behalf of the Comptroller General of Immigration, I congratulate you all.”
