The engagement with external stakeholders, is scheduled for Thursday, October 19th, 2023. It will feature notable speakers like Mr. Abbah Sambo Usman from the Economic & Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and Barrister Akin Adesomoju, Managing Partner at Akin Adesomoju & Co.

The week will focus on sharing insights from professionals like Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, Mr. Temidayo Adekanye; Legal and Prosecution Lawyer, Barr. E.A. Jackson; and Dr. Rabiu Olowo, a Professor of Practice in Forensic Accounting, Finance, and Public Policy.

Mudasiru stressed the digital age’s inherent scamming activities, making it crucial for the bank to educate customers on cautious practices. “Through the activities lined up for the week, we will share vital information with our customers on how to stay secure, stay alert, and help us fight and stop fraud together,” he stated.

UBA’s commitment to safeguarding the financial interests of its stakeholders, coupled with the pledge to maintain the highest levels of integrity and security, underscores the significance of this initiative. The Fraud Awareness Week is not just a campaign; it’s a collective effort to empower customers and fortify the defenses against evolving fraudulent threats.
