Pathfinder International, a security firm in Nigerian aviation, has suspended its employee attempting irregular medication dispatch via a passenger.
The medication, Glucosamine Chondroitin, was destined for Accra, Ghana, violating Pathfinder’s policy and Standard Operating Procedure.
Fred Omosebi, Pathfinder’s COO, confirmed the suspension, highlighting the company’s zero-tolerance for indiscipline and ongoing investigations.
The staff involved, temporarily withdrawn from operations, purportedly sent personal medication, deemed non-prohibited, against company regulations.
“The mode of transportation is, however, totally against Pathfinders policy and Standard Operating Procedure and we condemn it in the strongest terms. Even as investigation continues, the staff involved has been withdrawn from all Pathfinders operations pending the outcome of the investigation.
Pathfinder condemned the transportation method and stressed its misalignment with company policies.
“We wish to reiterate that the action of the staff is not in tandem with the operational policies and procedures of Pathfinders International as enshrined in our security programme and practice.â€
Pathfinder International, with over three decades of experience, upholds professionalism and integrity in aviation security across Nigeria and other African countries.
