THE Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika, has announced that Nigeria has received three training aircraft for the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria.
Sirika, disclosed this on his Twitter handle (@hadisirika) on Sunday, adding that there was no better aviation safety than having well trained, proficient aviators. NCAT takes delivery of six Diamond DA40 NG training aircraft
According to him, training will now be more efficient, faster, and cheaper. “Our roadmap is yielding good results. We appreciate your support, ” he added.
Recall in February 19, 2020 Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) took delivery of the first batch of six DA40 NG as part of a re-fleeting program that includes 20 Diamond airplanes (five twin-engine DA42-VI and 15 single-engine DA40 NG) over the upcoming years, the college.
Under the patronage of Sen. Hadi Abubakar Sirika, Minister of Aviation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, NCAT accepted their six new airplanes at Diamond Aircraft Austria.
Sirika had said then said, “In our effort to catch up with technology in line with our approved roadmap, we are happy about our state-of-the-art training aircraft from Diamond. Our efforts have earned Zaria the status of an ICAO Regional Training Center of Excellence.”
