The Chairman of Nigeria Aviation (NIGAV) Centre and the Chairman of the organizing committee, the 12th Nigeria Aviation Award Mr Fortune Idu, has announced a total number of fifty awards up for grabs at this year’s edition of the event holding 28th January 2023

This is just as there would a million naira (N1,000,000) cash price in this year’s Cabin Crew Contest: the Nigeria King and Queen of the Air at the NIGAV Centre Murtala Muhammed International Lagos according to a statement signed by Mr Idu.

This Year’s theme: ‘the coming of a new era’ will help the industry to reflect on the achievement of the past year, present a score card of the industry in 2022 and prepare players ahead of an exciting year 2023.

According to Mr Idu, the aviation sector needs NIGAV award as performance monitoring index to continue to balance its services with customers’ expectations in line with internationally acceptable standards.

He said,”As days count down to the end of 2022 the Nigeria Aviation industry begins to take account of what can be regarded as yet another successful aviation year with progress made in some quarters and of course disappointment in some.

“This is the spirit behind industry, the annual stock taking and celebration under the umbrella of Nigeria Aviation Award and Ministerial dinner to celebrate and appreciate those who have made year 2022 a memorable aviation year.”

A total number of fifty awards will be conferred by the Honourable Minister Senator Hadi Sirika in a ceremony that promises to be action and fun packed. The event will also present an Aviation Year Annual Report, which will highlight the groundbreaking achievements of the industry for future reference and guide.

“The organizing committee has begun the selection process with the call for nomination which will be followed by an online voting process to make the selection as credible as possible. On the King and Queen of the Air Contest, he announced that winners would goes home with a million naira (N1,000,000) and other gift items to become Ambassadors for corporate social responsibility.

The event has for the past 5 years presented Charity donations to SOS Children Village and this will continue in this year’s programme as part of the CSR mandate of the winners of the crown.The celebration is all-inclusive with provision for all class of aviators to have a rewarding evening.

The award ceremony will end at 8pm to begin an all Aviators Winners all Night Party to promote social integration among younger aviators.
