The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has officially granted an Air Operators Certificate (AOC) to Xejet. This document, received at the NCAA office signifies the airline’s compliance with regulatory standards and operational readiness. During the certificate presentation, NCAA’s Director General, Capt. Musa Nuhu, acknowledged the rigorous certification process, emphasizing the importance of upholding compliance standards. He said, “I must say, to go through this certification process is not an easy thing. I am aware that effectively this process took almost a year. Having gone through this process, we are elated and delighted because what that means is that you have brought yourself to compliance in conformity with our regulations.” This recognition underscores the significance of regulatory compliance within the aviation industry.

Capt. Nuhu was represented by Engr. Godwin Balang, General Manager of Air Operators Certification and Surveillance. He highlighted the essence of maintaining standards in operations. He added, “This is one of the critical elements of the activities we are required to do as an authority, which is certification. Now you are going to go into business. Immediately we give you this certificate, what we expect is that you keep to those standards.” This statement further emphasized NCAA’s commitment to ensuring operational safety across all certified airlines, underscoring the importance of maintaining compliance standards throughout Xejet’s operations.

Additionally, Capt. Toyin Lawani, the Certification Project Manager, encouraged Xejet to uphold high standards and remain exemplary in operations. “To maintain an AOC is not as easy as the acquisition,” Lawani explained. “Once you receive the certificate, we expect you to continuously improve your operations and maintenance processes.”

Consequently, her words echoed the NCAA’s commitment to continuous improvement, urging Xejet to set a standard in regulatory compliance. Moreover, Capt. Lawani encouraged Xejet to maintain high-quality service and position itself as a benchmark for other operators.

In response, Mr. Emmanuel Iza, Xejet’s Accountable Manager and CEO, expressed appreciation for the continued support throughout the entire certification journey. “Certainly, I truly appreciate all the efforts put into this. Indeed, it has been a learning process for us at Xejet,” he stated.

“Furthermore, we intend to uphold the covenant made to ensure safety and compliance standards as ambassadors of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.”

Reflecting on Xejet’s commitment, Iza emphasized their dedication to compliance standards, setting the airline as an industry leader.

Looking ahead, Xejet aims to introduce exclusive business-class seating, prioritizing passenger experience and focusing on quality and safety. “Importantly, the key effort is to offer travelers an enriching experience at a relatively affordable price,” Iza explained. Furthermore, this aligns closely with Xejet’s mission to provide comfort alongside compliance standards in a seamless, efficient travel experience. Ultimately, Xejet’s service blends the luxury of a private jet with the professional standards expected from a commercial airline.
