7 Star Global Hangar, like many others, seeks government intervention to bolster its MRO operations. In an exclusive interview, Isaac Balami, the CEO, highlights the crucial needs.
“We require land allocation within airports for our hangar and waivers for aircraft spares,” Balami asserts. Additionally, he emphasizes the importance of government agencies’ patronage.
Collaboration with the NCAA is essential, Balami notes, to attract aircraft from other African countries for maintenance in Nigeria.
7 Star Global Hangar, Balami says, faces multifaceted challenges affecting its growth and sustainability. In the aviation industry, it grapples with volatile market dynamics.
Fluctuating fuel prices, currency exchange fluctuations, and shifts in global economic conditions directly impact demand for maintenance services. These complexities hinder expansion strategies, he stressed.
“Moreover, intensified competition within the Nigerian MRO market necessitates constant innovation and differentiation efforts to attract and retain clientele.
“ Securing and retaining skilled personnel poses another critical hurdle, given the scarcity of talent, fierce competition, and the need for specialized training.
“Additionally, navigating intricate regulatory frameworks and ensuring access to modern infrastructure further compound operational complexities and costs.”
Expanding its horizons, the company has registered in the UK, aiming to tap into the European market. Balami anticipates fruitful partnerships ahead.
