FOLLOWING last Friday’s sack of five directors of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has approved the appointment of five new directors and one General Manager for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
In A statement made available by the General Manager Public Affairs of the NCAA, Mr. Sam Adurogboye, those that were appointed and their designations include Group Captain Edem Oyo-Ita (Director of Air Transport Regulations, DATR), Â Ahmed Abbas Sanusi (Director, Human Resources and Administration, DHR & ADMIN), Bilikisu Adamu Sani, (Director of Finance and Accounts, DFA), Odunowo Tayyib Adetunji (Director of Aerodrome and Airspace Standards, DAAS), Engr.Ita Awak, (Director of Airworthiness Standards, DAWS), Lawrence Mathew Kwajok, (General Manager, Air Navigational Standards, ANS).
According to the statement all appointments are with immediate effect.
Recall that government last week sacked all its directors and later recalled two of them,  directors affected  by the sack include Alhaji Salawu Ozigi (Director of Finance and Accounts), Barr. Aba Ejembi (Director of Administration),  Engr. Benedict Adeyileka (Director of Airworthiness), Mr. Justus Wariya (Director of Air Transport Regulation), and Mr. Austin-Amadi Ifeanyi (Director of Human Resources) and Captain Sidi (Director of Training).
Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi (Director of Consumer Protection), Capt. Ayodele Sasegbon (Director of General Aviation), were initially sacked but it turned out to be an error and so both directors were recalled .
