Air Peace has strengthened its relationship with the travel trade ahead of launching four new regional routes across West and Central Africa. The airline hosted a Travel Agency Forum to prepare partners for services to Bamako, Conakry, Douala and Libreville, which begin on 1 August 2026.
The forum brought together travel agencies, global distribution partners and aviation stakeholders to discuss commercial opportunities and reinforce collaboration. Meanwhile, the event highlighted Air Peace’s commitment to expanding regional connectivity while creating new business prospects for the travel industry.
Regional routes strengthen travel trade partnerships and African connectivity
Speaking at the event, Air Peace Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Nowel Ngala, said the new services would enhance connectivity across the region and support economic growth.
“The new regional routes will improve connectivity across West and Central Africa, facilitate trade and tourism, and create greater opportunities for both passengers and travel partners,” Ngala said.
He explained that the expansion reflected Air Peace’s long-term strategy of linking African cities with reliable air services. In addition, he stressed that travel agencies remained critical partners in ensuring the success of the airline’s growing network.
The National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) also welcomed the expansion. Representing the National President, Vice President, Lagos Zone, Mr. Yinka Olapade, described the development as a major boost for regional integration and the travel business.
According to Olapade, the additional regional routes would create fresh opportunities for travel agencies while improving movement across West and Central Africa. He commended Air Peace for investing in route expansion despite industry challenges.
Global travel technology partners equally praised the airline’s latest move. Senior Vice President for Sabre Travel Solutions in Central and West Africa, Mr. Allen Awosikunde, congratulated Air Peace on what he described as another significant milestone.

Awosikunde said the expansion would further strengthen connectivity across the sub-region. Therefore, he noted that improved access between African cities would benefit passengers, airlines and travel businesses alike.
Travelport also expressed confidence in the airline’s growing network. Manager for Air Commerce, Mrs. Funmilayo Ogunsanwo, said the additional regional routes would stimulate business growth while opening fresh revenue streams for travel agencies.
She added that Air Peace deserved recognition for investing in new markets and creating greater opportunities for the travel trade. Furthermore, she said stronger connectivity would deliver more value for passengers travelling within Africa.
During the forum, Air Peace’s Domestic, International and Regional Sales teams delivered detailed presentations on the airline’s expanding network. They highlighted operational strengths, route performance, promotional initiatives and customer-focused services designed to improve sales opportunities for travel partners.
The airline also showcased commercial opportunities linked to the new destinations. Consequently, travel partners received practical insights into how they could maximise bookings while providing better travel options for their customers.
An interactive question-and-answer session followed the presentations. Participants engaged directly with Air Peace executives on reservation systems, route performance, operational challenges and future expansion opportunities across the airline’s network.
The discussions reinforced the airline’s commitment to maintaining open communication with the travel trade. Meanwhile, travel partners welcomed the opportunity to share feedback and strengthen collaboration before the launch of the new services.
Delivering the Chairman’s goodwill message, Ngala thanked travel agencies for their continued loyalty and support over the years.
“You are ambassadors of the Air Peace brand. Every booking you make, every customer you advise, every itinerary you recommend and every passenger you entrust to Air Peace contributes directly to our success,” he said.
“Your dedication, professionalism and belief in our airline have played a significant role in making Air Peace what it is today.”
He reaffirmed Air Peace’s commitment to deepening partnerships with travel agencies as the carrier continues expanding its network across Nigeria, Africa and beyond. The airline believes collaboration with the travel trade will remain essential as its regional routes continue opening new opportunities for business, tourism and economic integration.
