Travelport, a leading global multi-source content provider, has partnered with Air Peace Limited, Nigeria’s and West Africa’s largest airline, to strengthen the airline’s content distribution across regional and international markets. The agreement allows Air Peace to leverage the global travel technology company’s advanced retailing technology and rich content through Travelport+, providing travel agencies worldwide with seamless access to the airline’s full offerings.
The partnership reflects the growing demand among African airlines for modern distribution and retailing platforms that enhance visibility with travel agents, support brand promotion, and enable airlines to reach broader markets efficiently. Through Travelport, Air Peace’s content will now be accessible to a significant number of travel agencies across Central and West Africa, as well as international markets including the Middle East, the Caribbean, and the United Kingdom.
Air Peace operates extensive passenger and charter services within Nigeria and across West Africa. The integration with the global multi-source content provider ensures that its full range of flights, fares, and ancillary services can be showcased more effectively, improving accessibility for travel agencies and their clients while supporting the airline’s broader expansion and sales strategy.
Damian Hickey, Chief Commercial Officer at Travelport, highlighted the airline’s strategic importance, noting that the partnership strengthens Travelport’s content offering in key African markets. “Air Peace is central to our growth in West and Central Africa. This agreement enables the airline to extend its global reach while delivering enhanced, branded content to travel agencies worldwide,” he said.
Nowel Ngala, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Peace Limited, described the collaboration as an important milestone in the airline’s international expansion plans. He emphasised that Travelport’s extensive reach and modern technology platform will allow Air Peace to grow sales, enhance customer experience, and strengthen its presence in key international markets.
The agreement reinforces Travelport’s footprint across Africa, where airlines are increasingly prioritising distribution systems that combine broad agency reach with next-generation retailing standards. Analysts note that partnerships like this position both the airline and the global travel technology company to better meet rising consumer demand and remain competitive in an evolving travel landscape.
