The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has promoted Mrs. Ijeoma Nwosu-Igbo and Mrs. Christabel Eromosele to General Managers. Nwosu-Igbo is now General Manager of Public Affairs, while Eromosele is General Manager of Protocol and Passages. This promotion, confirmed by the Directorate of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, took effect from June 2024 after their success in mandatory management promotion exams.
Mrs. Nwosu-Igbo has managed FAAN’s Public Affairs department for years. She has served as acting General Manager since December 2023. With over two decades of experience, she started her career at FAAN in 2002 as a Senior Public Affairs Officer. She holds an HND in Mass Communication, a PGDM, and an MBA from the University of Calabar.
A versatile public relations practitioner, Mrs. Nwosu-Igbo is also a member of the Nigerian Institutes of Public Relations. She is a prolific writer, overseeing FAAN’s in-house publication, NEWSTRACK, since 2018. Besides her professional achievements, she enjoys singing and choral performances, having performed locally and overseas.
Similarly, Mrs. Christabel Eromosele has acted as General Manager of the Protocol and Passages Department from January 2024 before her confirmation in June 2024. She graduated in 1991 with a degree in English Language from Ambrose Alli University and holds a master’s degree in public and international Affairs from the University of Lagos.
Mrs. Eromosele began her career at FAAN in 1993. Her dedication, hard work, and professionalism have propelled her through the ranks. She is a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and the Chartered Institute of Public Management of Nigeria.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Eromosele has attended numerous training programs both locally and internationally. Notable programs include the Public Relations Theory and Practice Course by GTC Group in London. Additionally, she attended the African Public Relations Association Conference in Kigali, Rwanda. Furthermore, she has served on various management committees. These include the FAAN National Aviation Committee and the ACI International Conference Planning Committee.
