On January 3rd, 2024, Mrs. Faithful Avokerie Hope-Ivbaze retired from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria at 60. Formerly the General Manager Corporate Affairs and Protocol and Passages, she left as Acting Director Public Affairs and Consumer Protection.
Transitioning, Mrs. Hope-Ivbaze handed over to Mrs. Obiageli Orah, the substantive Director. Additionally, she entrusted the Protocol and Passages department to Mrs. Christabel Eromosele.

Born in Delta State, she joined FAAN on April 5th, 1989, as an Executive Officer. In February 1990, she became the youngest female Head of Department at Benin Airport, spending 14 impactful years.

Transferred to Abuja Airport in 2005, she played key roles, including the rehabilitation of the runway in 2017. In 2022, she assumed the role of Acting General Manager Corporate Affairs, later becoming the substantive General Manager.

In May 2023, a major aviation sector overhaul saw her as General Manager, Protocol and Passages. Following changes and government directives, she became Acting Director in December 2023.
Mrs. Hope-Ivbaze, an English and History major, and Fellow of NIPR, is happily married to Chief Hope-Ivbaze, blessed with children and grandchildren.
