Qatar Airways has initiated flights to Kinshasa, DRC, expanding its African network and global connectivity. The inaugural flight landed at N’djili International Airport on Saturday, 01 June 2024, marking the airline’s 29th destination in Africa.

The airline’s Group CEO, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, stated, “We recognize the immense potential in Africa. We are dedicated to enhancing connectivity throughout the continent.” He highlighted the airline’s commitment to providing seamless access to business and leisure opportunities.

The new route not only connects Kinshasa to Qatar Airways’ Doha hub but also strengthens air connectivity across Africa, fostering economic, business, and cultural ties.

Moreover, the four weekly services to Kinshasa will increase capacity to Angola, with flights to Luanda rising from one to four, underscoring Qatar’s commitment to enhancing connectivity throughout Africa.

Additionally, Qatar Airways has optimized schedules in African markets to ensure convenient connectivity to China in the past year. This optimization extends to Luanda and now Kinshasa, linking with key markets like Belgium, France, Portugal, and the Middle East.

Kinshasa, the DRC’s capital, ranks third in Africa after Cairo and Lagos, serving as the country’s economic hub. It offers diverse opportunities for investment and tourism, nestled along the Congo River, renowned for its cultural diversity.
