DESPITE the union strike at Arik Air which crippled the airline, the week got off to a good start with Ibom Air commencing its inaugural flight into the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu welcomed by the Deputy Governor and to the joy of air travelers. There was also the long awaited Airline operators of Nigeria (AON) election which produced President of Azman Air and Chairman Air Peace as President and Vice President respectively and League of Airports and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) hosted the Director General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Captain Musa Nuhu at its Gateway Forum and the week ended on a high note with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) commissioning its own Band.
