DANA AIR has announced to all its customers that its plan to resume two weeks after it suspended operations due to the COVID-19 is not feasible as it has extended its suspension till further notice.
With this move, Dana has joined Azman Air to announce its uncertainty to commence operations as the covid-19 is still ravaging the country with more numbers being identified despite successes in curing over 50 cases in the country.
The airline in a notice to its customers titled COVID-19: Update on Flight Suspension stating that tickets booked from March 26the, 2020 and resumption are valid till December 31, 2020 at no extra cost.
The notice read,†Due to ongoing efforts by Federal Government and Lagos State Government to curtail the spread of COVID-19, we have decided to extend our resumption till further noticeâ€
“The health and safety of our employees, customers and community still remains our top priority and we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates to our esteemed guests.
“However, all booked tickets between 26th of March, 2020 and the date of resumption are still valid for medication till 31st of December, 2020 at no extra cost. We pray that our collective fight against the virus yields improve results as soon as possible but in the meantime, stay safe, stay healthy, stay positive and help flatten the curve, we are in this together,†the statement read.
Recall Dana is one of the airlines that suspended operations on midnight of 25th March, for the period of two weeks as part of move in line with the precautionary measures by the Lagos State and Federal Government to stem the spread of the COVID-19 Virus, and give Nigeria a fighting chance to turn the curve.
