Air Peace denies recent accusations of passenger abandonment at Owerri Airport, labeling them as false and malicious. According to a news report, a passenger alleged ticket racketeering and abandonment by Air Peace on April 7, 2024.

This claim is not only baseless but also deliberately misleading. The passenger arrived late at the airport after the check-in had closed, in line with standard regulations—not an hour before departure as claimed.

For domestic flights like our 12:20pm Owerri-Lagos flight that day, check-in closes precisely 45 minutes before departure at 11:35am. Boarding commenced promptly, and the flight departed on schedule at 12:20pm.

The accusation that Air Peace sold tickets to stranded passengers of other airlines while neglecting our own confirmed passengers is entirely untrue and designed to mislead. We prioritize on-time departures while ensuring all pre-closure passengers are attended to.

It is regrettable that certain passengers attempt to stir up unwarranted sentiments and false narratives whenever they arrive late at the airport. Air Peace values punctuality and compliance with regulations, ensuring the smooth operation of flights for all passengers without compromise.
