Air Peace has reinforced its commitment to modern aviation with the arrival of its new Embraer E175 aircraft in Nigeria. The latest addition reflects the airline’s continued investment in modern aviation assets as it expands its domestic, regional and international operations. The aircraft is expected to improve connectivity, enhance passenger comfort and support greater operational efficiency across its growing network.

The aircraft is the first brand-new Embraer E175 to join Air Peace’s fleet. It forms part of the airline’s strategy to maintain one of Africa’s youngest and most fuel-efficient fleets. The investment also underlines the carrier’s confidence in Nigeria’s aviation sector and its long-term growth plans.

New Embraer E175 strengthens fleet expansion

The new Embraer E175, bearing Nigerian registration mark 5N-CGH, landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at exactly 8:32 p.m. on Tuesday, 7 July 2026. It arrived following a successful ferry flight from Brazil, where Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer officially handed the aircraft over to the Air Peace delegation after production was completed.

Configured with 88 seats in a two-by-two layout, the aircraft removes the inconvenience of middle seats.

Every passenger enjoys either a window or aisle seat. In addition, leather seats, generous legroom, larger windows and spacious overhead bins are designed to provide a quieter and more comfortable journey.

Beyond passenger comfort, the aircraft also offers improved operational performance. Advanced aerodynamics and fuel-efficient engines help reduce fuel consumption, lower carbon emissions and minimise noise. Therefore, the investment supports Air Peace’s sustainability goals while maintaining high safety and reliability standards.

Speaking on the aircraft’s arrival, Air Peace spokesman, Mr. Efe Osifo-Whiskey, described the development as another milestone in the airline’s long-term growth strategy.

“The arrival of our brand-new Embraer E175 represents far more than the addition of another aircraft to our fleet,” he said.

“It reflects Air Peace’s unwavering commitment to continuous investment in modern aviation assets that improve operational efficiency, strengthen route connectivity, and elevate the overall travel experience for our passengers.”

He added that the aircraft is well suited for domestic and regional operations because of its capacity and operational flexibility.

“The Embraer E175 is ideally suited for our domestic and regional operations, offering the flexibility to efficiently serve existing routes while opening new markets with optimal capacity,” Osifo-Whiskey said.

“For our passengers, this means greater schedule reliability, increased flight frequencies, enhanced onboard comfort, and the premium travel experience they have come to expect from Air Peace.”

Meanwhile, the airline said the investment will also support wider economic development by improving regional connectivity across Africa.

“As we continue to expand our network across Nigeria, West Africa, Central Africa, and other international destinations, this aircraft further positions us to respond to growing passenger demand while contributing meaningfully to economic development, regional integration, tourism, and intra-African connectivity,” he stated.

The arrival of the new Embraer E175 further strengthens Air Peace’s position as one of Africa’s fastest-growing airlines. It also highlights the carrier’s sustained investment in modern aviation assets despite increasing competition within the industry.

With the latest addition, Air Peace continues to modernise its fleet while improving service delivery, operational efficiency and network expansion. The airline said it remains committed to connecting people, businesses and communities through safe, reliable and affordable air travel across Nigeria, Africa and beyond.
