2024 Hajj Pilgrims: Nigerian Government Grants Approval to Airlines for Airlift

Air Peace Ltd., FlyNas, and Max Air secure official approval for 2024 Hajj pilgrimage airlift. Government also greenlights Cargo Zeal Technologies Ltd, Nahcoaviance, and Qualla Investment Limited for excess luggage airfreight.

Assistant Director of Public Affairs at NAHCON, Fatima Sanda Usara, disclosed this in a weekend statement.

In terms of pilgrim allocation, Air Peace is designated for Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, FCT, Imo, Kwara, Ondo, and Rivers. 

FlyNas will transport pilgrims from Borno, Lagos, Osun, Ogun, Niger, Sokoto, Kebbi, Yobe, and Zamfara. Max Air, with the highest allocation, will move pilgrims from Bauchi, Benue, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Nasarawa, Adamawa, Oyo, Taraba, Kaduna, Armed Forces, Gombe, Jigawa, and Plateau.

The pilgrim allocation adheres to the Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

The statement emphasizes that state governments can choose approved freight companies for excess luggage. Any exclusive arrangement should be communicated to the Commission.

Malam Arabi congratulated the airlines and urged them to ensure a smooth 2024 pilgrimage season. NAHCON remains committed to the highest standards, prioritizing pilgrims’ safety and satisfaction.
