Allen Onyema commends the resilience of Nigerian carriers, emphasising a pivotal moment of simultaneous fleet expansions.
Congratulating Ibom Air on acquiring the first of 10 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, Onyema envisions expanded fleets boosting job creation. Similarly, the fleet would contribute to the GDP, and enabling affordable air travel for more Nigerians.
He said,“ May Ibom Air and, indeed, all indigenous airlines in Nigeria continue to prosper. These airlines have given means of livelihood to thousands of Nigerians who were hitherto unemployed. God will continue to support Nigerian carriers”.
Expressing joy, he lauds indigenous airlines for thriving in challenging conditions, dispelling negative perceptions. Onyema further congratulates Ibom Air, the Akwa Ibom state government, and the entire Nigerian aviation industry.
At the Airbus handover ceremony in Canada, attended by notable figures, Onyema’s optimism echoes, foreseeing a brighter future for domestic carriers amidst unprecedented growth.
