The Governor also reiterated his administration’s dedication to infrastructure development and improving safety standards, noting that collaboration with federal agencies like the NSIB is essential for sustained progress.

The meeting provided a platform for both parties to discuss key areas of mutual interest, including the continuous education of stakeholders on safety protocols and the need for public awareness campaigns. Governor Makinde emphasized that such campaigns would help instill a culture of safety among citizens, a vital step toward reducing accidents and saving lives. The NSIB team echoed this sentiment, stressing the importance of public involvement in achieving meaningful safety outcomes.

The visit concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening collaboration and implementing programs that would not only benefit Oyo State but also set a benchmark for transport safety in Oyo and beyond.
