Captain Badeh emphasized the complementary strengths of both organizations. “Aero Contractors brings technical knowledge and operational insight. This collaboration combines NSIB’s regulatory expertise with Aero’s practical experience,” he added.
Chief Executive Officer of Aero Contractors, Ado Sanusi, expressed enthusiasm. “This MoU marks a significant milestone in our collective commitment to aviation safety and human capital development,” he said.
“And at the heart of our operation is a deep-rooted safety culture. We have always believed that safety is not just a regulatory requirement. It is a fundamental responsibility that we all share. As we often say, every safety is everybody’s business. This partnership with NSIB underscores that belief.
Key Benefits and Financial Commitments
The MoU focuses on training, capacity building, and technical support. Aero Contractors will provide on-the-job training for NSIB’s Transportation Safety Officers. NSIB will support Aero’s technical personnel with accident investigation training.
“By providing on-the-job training opportunities for NSIB’s Transportation Safety Officers and other personnel, we are enforcing a culture of continuous learning and professional development. This enhances the skills and technical knowledge of those responsible for ensuring safety across the sector. NSIB will undoubtedly benefit from our maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities, getting practical hands-on experience that will strengthen their investigative and technical expertise.”
“In return, Aero Contractors is honoured to contribute to the improvement of aviation safety standards in the country. This initiative is not just about training, it is about fostering a safety-driven ecosystem where industry players work together to prevent accidents and incidents and improve on operational standards. It is about investing in the future of a safe”
The agreement includes a Cost Reimbursement Program and Service Fee Mechanism. Aero’s contributions will be adequately compensated, ensuring transparency and fairness. Costs will be reviewed regularly to maintain efficiency.
The partnership extends to joint conferences and seminars. Both organizations will share best practices and explore new training needs. A Steering Committee will oversee implementation.
A New Chapter for Nigerian Aviation
Both organizations agreed to uphold confidentiality and professionalism. Shared information will be used solely for safety investigation training. This ensures trust and integrity throughout the partnership.
Captain Badeh emphasized the collaboration’s long-term impact. “This MoU is the beginning of a journey toward safer skies and a stronger aviation ecosystem,” he said.
Ado Sanusi echoed this sentiment. “We celebrate a shared vision where safety remains the cornerstone of our industry,” he stated.
