Air Peace Limited on Monday hosted a critical Travel Partner Forum at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja. The event forms part of preparations for the launch of its Abuja–London Heathrow and Gatwick flights scheduled for October 26 and 28, 2025.
The forum drew Air Peace’s top-selling travel agents, executive members of the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA), and representatives of travel technology leaders Amadeus and Sabre. The engagement reinforced the airline’s commitment to strong industry partnerships and advancing Nigeria’s presence on the global aviation stage.
A major highlight of the Heathrow and Gatwick event was a comprehensive presentation delivered by Air Peace Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Nowel Ngala. He outlined the route’s strategic importance, shared market insights, and highlighted the vital role of travel partners in ensuring success. An interactive session allowed stakeholders to share sales optimization strategies and explore ways to strengthen Nigeria’s footprint in global aviation.
Air Peace Chairman, Dr. Allen Onyema, delivered a goodwill message praising travel agents for their support. He noted that their backing since the airline’s historic Lagos–London Gatwick service began in March 2024 had bolstered confidence for the Abuja expansion. Onyema also emphasized the broader socio-economic mission behind the airline’s international growth.
“Beyond offering Nigerians world-class travel choices, Air Peace is deliberately creating employment through initiatives like our Graduate Trainee Programme,” Onyema stated. “This has opened doors for thousands of young Nigerians, building a steady pipeline of skilled manpower for the aviation industry.”

The airline also revealed an incentive to galvanize travel agent support. Select partners will enjoy complimentary seats on the inaugural Abuja–Heathrow and Gatwick flights, along with heavily discounted fares during the introductory period.
“Our Abuja brothers and sisters will not only experience this service firsthand but also benefit from massive discounts,” Onyema added.
In his remarks, NANTA President, Mr. Yinka Folami, lauded Air Peace’s resilience, reliability, and forward-looking investments.
He highlighted the airline’s ongoing Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) project in Lagos as a major contribution to Nigeria’s aviation growth. Calling Air Peace a “national project,” he pledged continued association support.
Executives from Amadeus and Sabre also commended the Abuja–Heathrow and Gatwick initiative. They stressed that Air Peace’s integration into their global distribution networks spanning 160 countries and 55,000 travel agencies will enhance accessibility and competitiveness for the new service.
The new Abuja–Heathrow and Gatwick flights, alongside Lagos–Gatwick, mark another milestone in Air Peace’s international expansion.
The routes are expected to ease travel for Nigerians, stimulate tourism, strengthen bilateral ties, and boost cultural exchange between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
With this development, Air Peace continues to consolidate its role as Nigeria’s leading airline. The carrier remains dedicated to expanding connectivity, fueling economic growth, and showcasing Nigerian hospitality on the world stage.
