The UBA Foundation, Corporate Social Responsibility arm of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, has extended its generosity to the less privileged in Lagos through a heartfelt charity outreach.
UBA Foundation visited So-Said Charity Homes Community and SOS Children’s Village, where the elderly, children, and vulnerable members of society received essential food items and relief materials. The donations included bags of rice, beans, and other daily necessities aimed at easing hardship and bringing smiles to the beneficiaries.
Speaking during the outreach, Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, reaffirmed the Foundation’s dedication to improving lives across Africa.
“At UBA Foundation, we believe in touching lives and giving back to the communities where we operate,” she said. “The elderly and children are among the most vulnerable, and it is our responsibility to support them in meaningful ways. This outreach reflects our lasting commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.”
The CEO of So-Said Charity Homes Community, Mrs. Felicia Martins, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the Foundation’s generosity.
“We are deeply grateful to UBA Foundation for remembering us and putting smiles on the faces of our residents. These donations will go a long way in providing much-needed relief, especially during these challenging times,” she noted.
Similarly, Programme Director, SOS Children’s Village, Ayodeji Adelopo, praised the Foundation’s consistent compassion towards orphans and vulnerable children.
“UBA Foundation has shown, time and again, that it genuinely cares about children’s welfare. This support ensures they have nutritious meals and essential supplies,” he stated.
Beneficiaries, including elderly residents and children, expressed joy and gratitude as they received the donated items. Many described the gesture as timely and uplifting.
UBA Foundation Managing Director/CEO, Bola Atta, emphasised the bank’s commitment to driving lasting social impact.
“We remain steadfast in our mission to uplift communities through education, empowerment, and environmental programmes. Each outreach we organise demonstrates our determination to make a difference,” she said.
