The Chairman of Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc, Dr. Seinde Oladapo Fadeni, has generously gifted a multi-million-naira library block to Joseph Ayo Babalola University in Osun State. The impressive three-storey structure, the largest on campus, will serve the library needs of all university departments.
At the hand-over ceremony, Dr. Fadeni emphasized the importance of supporting students amidst modern distractions, stating, “The students don’t want to read anymore; and you can’t really blame them… But those who are ready to read, who are ready to study and to focus, we should assist them in achieving what they want to achieve.”
He pledged to furnish the library with modern amenities, affirming, “Whatever is supposed to be in a modern library, the computers, the shelves, and other things would be provided.”
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olasebikan Alade Fakolujo, praised Dr. Fadeni’s commitment to education and societal progress, remarking, “Today, we have this magnificent edifice… The Dr. Seinde Oladapo Fadeni Library is a multi-million naira three-storey building… The gesture is dear to us as a university community.”
Fakolujo highlighted the significance of modern library facilities in strengthening Nigeria’s education system and nation-building.
Accompanied by his family and NAHCO officials, Dr. Fadeni’s contribution was lauded by the leadership of Christ Apostolic Church, the university’s owner, demonstrating a collective commitment to education and community development.
