Former Governor Udom Emmanuel expresses optimism in Ibom Air’s regional and continental prominence during the A220 aircraft delivery. He also applauds Governor Umo Eno for sustaining the state’s aviation development.

Emmanuel, who established Ibom Air, highlights the airline’s vision as a major player in aviation at Airbus’ Mirabel facility. Commending the present administration’s commitment, he envisions a robust future for Ibom Air.

Founded in 2019, under Emmanuel’s leadership, Ibom Air secured a significant 2021 deal with Airbus for the 10 Airbus A220-300 aircraft. This strategic move positions Ibom Air as a pioneer in Nigeria, being the first to embrace the all-new Airbus A220.

Emphasizing Ibom Air’s longevity, Emmanuel assures it will thrive post-tenure, anchored in shared values of the Akwa Ibom people. He envisions Ibom Air standing strong for the long haul.

The delivery ceremony featured the Airbus CEO Benoit Schultz, VP Daniel Wenninger, and Head of Airbus A220 Delivery Center Marc Arpin. Cyrille Picard, Sales Director Middle-East & Africa, presented the new Airbus aircraft.

Noteworthy attendees from Ibom Air included CEO Captain Mfon Udom and COO George Uriesi, signifying the airline’s commitment to sustained growth and excellence.
