Nigeria’s airspace remains open and functional asserts the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).  The agency maintained that the ongoing Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) strike has not affected its operations.

Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Abdulahi Musa, said the agency outlined its contingency arrangements for processing flight operations in the five major airports in Nigeria. The statement emphasized, “The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) will continue to provide its services to airline operators in spite of the ongoing strike. This is in keeping with the agency’s mandate to provide uninterrupted, safe, efficient, and economic air navigation services in the country.”

NAMA says Nigeria’s airspace remains open assuring commitment to ensure the continuity and safety of air navigation services. This demonstrates the ANSP’s resilience and dedication to its operational mandates amid challenges.
