Notably, Musa stressed that some installed equipment fails to meet international standards for airports, potentially posing risks.
Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo SAN, upon receiving the report, assured prompt implementation of recommendations and called for a meeting with airport contractors to address equipment concerns and explore additional entry points.
Keyamo acknowledged the ageing state of the old Murtala Muhammed International Airport Terminal responsible for 60% of entries and exits.
Despite recent challenges, he pledged to overhaul the terminal before the end of his administration, citing the importance of a comprehensive master plan for efficient airport management.
Addressing the recent fire Incident that led to the relocation of airlines, Keyamo expressed regret and promised preventive measures for future incidents.
He underscored the significance of a master plan in curbing wastage and fostering a thriving airport hub, ensuring renovations align with existing structures.
