Group Captain ED Okolo, the Military Airport Commandant, highlights the dire consequences awaiting intruders accessing the Airport runway illegally, including but not limited to their being shot.

These stern warnings against breaching the Murtala Muhammed International Airport’s perimeter fence emphasized heightened security concerns at the nation’s number one gateway.

In response to recent incursions, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) also vows to dismantle unauthorized structures for safety.

FAAN says thefts of crucial airport infrastructure prompt not only security concerns but also financial strain, as damaged facilities require replacement.

It urges the public to refrain from unlawful entry, emphasizing the prohibition and potential legal consequences.

FAAN reinforces its stance, stating that unauthorized structures around airports will be demolished promptly, urging non-passengers to stay clear.

It said, “Perimeter  encroachment  is highly prohibited, and criminal  offenders risk prosecution  or possibly  being  shot at.

FAAN equally said,”Every unauthorised or illegal  structure  around  the airports would  be pulled  down. Be advised.
