Omni-Blu Aviation had no active participation in events leading to the falsified report. Omni-Blu Aviation had no intention or knowledge of any falsification.
Omni-Blu Aviation Limited cleared of allegations by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and its Air Operator Certificate reinstated.
The NCAA revoked Omni-Blu Aviation Limited’s (Omni-Blu) Air Operator Certificate (AOC) on 31 January 2025, citing violations of civil aviation regulations. The authority determined that Omni-Blu and Eastwind Aviation had breached Part 1.2.1.5 of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig. CARs), which prohibits falsification, reproduction, or alteration of applications, licenses, certificates, logbooks, reports, or records. This violation led to the revocation of their respective AOCs as a sanction.
Following an appeal against the NCAA’s decision to revoke Omni-Blu Aviation Limited’s (Omni-Blu) Air Operator Certificate (AOC), Omni-Blu Aviation Limited cleared has now been exonerated. The NCAA, in a letter dated 28 February 2025, referenced NCAA/DGCA/DLS/CS/2025/013, confirmed that Omni-Blu provided further evidence proving that the falsified readout report for avionics equipment on a Sikorsky S76C+ helicopter (MSN 760486, Reg. 5N-BQG) was facilitated by the aircraft Owner/Operator, Eastwind Aviation Limited.
As a result, the NCAA determined that:
- Omni-Blu Aviation had no active participation in events leading to the falsified report.
- Omni-Blu Aviation had no intention or knowledge of any falsification.
