Highlighting shared experiences, Prof. Anosike of NiMet proposed collaboration with the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) on February 19, 2024.

Welcoming NIM’s President, Dr. Atako, and council members, Anosike emphasized potential collaboration, suggesting an MoU to outline responsibilities.

Dr. Atako informed Anosike about NIM’s services, requesting NiMet to consider supporting staff training and conference attendance. She also requested NiMet to consider paying outstanding membership dues of staff members and sponsoring staff to attend the 2024 Annual National Management Conference (ANMC) of NIM.

Expressing gratitude, Anosike stressed management’s importance, highlighting NiMet’s commitment to its aviation sector mandate.

Anosike reiterated willingness to collaborate, envisioning joint platforms to promote meteorology and management to young individuals.

“We need to define the terms of the collaboration with NIM by signing an MoU which will outline the responsibilities and expectations from both NiMet and NIM. We are aware that NIM has over 200,000 members so this is good and presents an opportunity for shared experiences. We will use the joint platforms of NiMet and NIM to promote the science of meteorology and management, and expose these professions to young persons”. He said.
