He received the prestigious ‘Aviation Sector CEO of the Year 2024’ award from Independent Newspapers Limited. The key phrase “Aviation Sector CEO of the Year” reflects his outstanding achievements.
The award ceremony took place at the Expo Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Saturday, March 15th, 2025. The colourful and well-attended event celebrated Professor Anosike’s exceptional contributions to NiMet. His efforts in providing early warnings for various sectors were highlighted.
In the citation read by the organizers, Director General NiMet, Professor Anosike was praised for his proactive leadership. The event also honoured Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, with the ‘Minister of the Year 2024’ award. The organizers recognized his “strategic leadership and support for the aviation sector’s growth.” Keyamo’s policies and reforms have significantly improved Nigeria’s aviation industry.
