NAHCO is making a significant investment. The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO) has launched a new batch of multimillion-dollar ground support equipment (GSE). This is a key part of its commitment to both clients and employees.
The new fleet includes nine brand-new high loaders. This is a crucial step towards the company’s ambitious 2026 goal. The goal is a complete fleet upgrade.
The company’s Chairman, Dr. Seinde Oladapo Fadeni, underscored the importance of the investment. He said it benefits not just the company. “The essence of these equipment is not just for the company alone or for the customers,” Fadeni said. “It is also to make life easier for the workers.”
Fadeni noted the acquisition process began last year. He acknowledged facing delays from manufacturers and port authorities. Now, however, the company has a consistent delivery schedule. This brings them closer to their 2026 goal.

This latest delivery is part of a wider fleet renewal program. The program started in 2024.
At its launch, Fadeni said the new equipment signals “the start of numerous positive transformations.” These transformations will affect their workforce, facilities, and equipment.
NAHCO’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Didier Stuellet, commended the board. He called the investment “huge.” Stuellet noted that such decisions are difficult for company owners. However, he believes it was “the best decision for NAHCO.”
He also confirmed that the company is more than halfway through the refleeting process. “We still have some equipment coming in the coming months, years,” he declared.
The new equipment shows a clear message about NAHCO’s long-term strategy.
Charles Karinga, NAHCO’s Head of GSE, described the acquisition as historic. He said that few ground handlers in the region can acquire so many high loaders at once. He noted the high cost of the equipment.
Karinga explained that a high loader is a specialized GSE. It uses a high-reach lift to load or unload items. These can include cargo, food, and drinks.
The new high loaders are among the best in the industry. Karinga stated they will serve NAHCO and its clients for years. He called the purchase unprecedented.
Since the program’s start in 2024, the company has taken new equipment deliveries every quarter. This consistent schedule highlights NAHCO’s commitment. The equipment helps ensure safer, more efficient operations for all.
NAHCO makes a huge investment in its fleet with 9 new high loaders. Chairman says the new equipment will make life easier for workers.
NAHCO is making a massive investment in its fleet, with nine new high loaders recently commissioned. This marks a major step in the company’s plan to fully upgrade its fleet by 2026, according to Chairman Dr. Seinde Oladapo Fadeni.
