NAAPE shelves strike at Bristow, meets Ministers of Aviation, Labour

NATIONAL Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers ( NAAPE) has put its indefinite strike on hold following a truce brokered by the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika at the instance of the Ministry of Labour.

In a statement made available to Nigerianflightdeck, the unions will be meeting with all parties concerned to look for an amicable solution to the impasse.

The statement read,”In view of the intervention of the honorable minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika yesterday NAAPE has put on hold the on going Picketing of Bristow Helicopters pending the determination /outcome of the meeting at the instance of Federal Ministry of Labour Ikoyi Lagos today 6/8/2020.”

“Thanks for your support and understanding.
NAAPE.”

Bristow Helicopters has continuously maintained that it the company remains focused on safety of its employees and clients as well as the delivery of an efficient and value driven service.

It also states consistently that the company remains willing and prepared to continue dialogue with NAAPE
